Through a live broadcast from the DCA with DAF Media, we invite you to hear from a trio of industry innovators we’ve assembled who have called Darien their home. Since its founding in 1997, public equity asset management firm Lone Pine Capital has generated some of the best long-term returns in the industry – while its Lone Pine Foundation has helped children and families in the communities where Lone Pine has offices. Steve Mandel grew up in Darien and graduated from Phillips Exeter Academy, Dartmouth College and Harvard Business School. He served as board chair of Teach for America and Dartmouth and is a former trustee at both Phillips Exeter and The Children’s School in Stamford, CT. He and his wife Sue have three children.

What is it like covering an election, from your home in Darien? What can we expect in the November elections? SE Cupp is the host of CNN’s SE Cupp Unfiltered, a weekly Saturday program. Cupp is a practical conservative who brings her distinct outlook to CNN programming and special political coverage. She joined CNN as a contributor in 2013 and Headline News as a host in 2017. A graduate of Cornell University, she earned a master’s degree from New York University. In her free time, Cupp enjoys hunting, fishing and camping with her family. She is married with one son.

Founded in 1998 with his brother, Shep, with headquarters based in Stamford, vineyard vines sells their products nationwide through various channels. Ian Murray is a graduate of the Brunswick School in Greenwich, CT and Lafayette College. He currently splits his time between Darien and Edgartown, MA with his wife and three children. He is an avid pilot, boater, angler and musician.
