Mystic Seaport Museum’s Treworgy Planetarium

Established in 1960, the Treworgy Planetarium at Mystic Seaport Museum has served as a hub for scientific learning, encouraging guests to explore the links between our nautical heritage and the universe and skies that surround us.

Initially called the “Seaport Planetarium,” the Planetarium was renamed in 2009 to honor Don Treworgy. Treworgy dedicated 48 years to the Planetarium, serving 44 of those years as its Director. His contribution left a lasting impact on the Museum’s staff, volunteers, and visitors, making him a cherished figure within the community. If you’re interested in visiting the Treworgy Planetarium, you can visit their website for more information.
