Is there a better way to spend an August evening in New Canaan than walking around town sampling food and wine with family and friends?
This year’s Taste of New Canaan Stroll is scheduled for Wednesday, August 25th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. People can select from one of the three walking tours that will be available. The Taste Tour features 10 stops, the Family Fiesta Tour has 6 stops, and the Wine Trail Tour includes 10 stops.
All proceeds from the event will go to the New Canaan Food Pantry. The event is presented by the New Canaan Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty.
The evening will get started at 5 p.m. with music and treats at the William Pitt Sotheby’s office at 26 Cherry Street. People must pick up their wristbands and maps before heading out on their self-guided tour. There is a 2½-hour window to complete the tour, which will end promptly at 8:00 p.m. No wristbands will be issued after 7:15 p.m.
The Chamber of Commerce says there will be a limited number of tickets available on the night of the event so people are encouraged to reserve tickets in advance. A minimum donation must be made to the New Canaan Food Pantry to get tickets for the event.
Enjoy a great summer evening out in New Canaan!
(In the event of bad weather on Wednesday, August 25th, the event will be rescheduled for Thursday, August 26th.)
