The weather is going to cooperate, which should make Sunday’s 11th annual New Canaan Dog Days event at the New Canaan Nature Center a great day for dogs and their owners.
Get out of the house — don’t forget your face covering — and bring your dog or dogs for fun events, family entertainment, and perfect autumn weather. This year’s New Canaan Dog Days celebration gets started at 11 a.m. and continues until 4 p.m.
The event is free, but donations are encouraged. Any proceeds will benefit the Adopt-A-Dog program and the New Canaan Nature Center. The event is presented by the Pet Pantry Warehouse.
There will be plenty to see and do for dog owners, children, and your pets. There will be live demonstrations, lectures, and meet-and-greets. The New Canaan Police Department’s Canine Unit will be on hand, along with professional dog trainers, behaviorists, and veterinarians to answer questions and provide advice.
Some of the vendors and businesses that are scheduled to attend include Doggie Fun Zone, Fur-tastic K-9s, Radar Run, Kid Zone, Dog Spa, Pet Pantry Bone Bar, Family Scavenger Hunt, Rescue Village, and Pet Portraits.
Pack up the kids and your dog on Sunday for a few hours of fun at New Canaan’s annual Dog Days Celebration. For more information, visit https://newcanaannature.org/events/#1526049807296-eb0d9375-2b1d. We’ll see you there.
