SchoolDigger.com, which ranks schools across Connecticut, has named South School in New Canaan as the state’s top elementary school. Also receiving high marks was Saxe Middle School, which ranked second out of 259 middle schools. Among the site’s criteria are test scores and student-teacher ratios. Of note, East School and West School also ranked in the top 4 percent of Connecticut’s elementary schools.
