New Canaan residents will be able to celebrate the Fourth of July with a fireworks show — albeit 6 weeks later than originally planned.
The town’s traditional Family Fourth of July Fireworks Celebration, which has been postponed twice by bad weather, has been rescheduled for Saturday, August 14th beginning at 5 p.m. at Waveny Park.
(PLEASE NOTE: The event can only be attended by people who live in New Canaan. The town is also asking adults and children who have not received a COVID-19 vaccination to wear a face covering and observe social distancing.)
Entrance passes for vehicles and people walking into Waveny Park can be purchased for $35 at Walter Stewart’s Market or the New Canaan Recreation Department at Waveny House beginning on Monday, August 2nd.
If poor weather causes the cancellation of the display on Saturday, August 14th, the show will be moved to Sunday, August 15th at 5 p.m.
