Here’s your chance to watch some of New Canaan’s finest first responders go head-to-head in a series of athletic competitions – all to benefit the Gracie Fund for Pediatric Cancer.
The name of the event is the New Canaan Combine and local police officers, firefighters, and EMTs will take the field at New Canaan High School’s Dunning Stadium this Sunday, October 1 to compete against one another beginning at 9 a.m. The event ends at noon.
Each team (the police will be competing against a team of firefighters and EMTs) will consist of 20 members and the teams will compete in a series of eight events. The events will require a mix of agility, strength, stamina, and speed. The final event is scheduled to be a best-of-3 tug-of-war.
There’s no cost to attend. So come out, watch many of the first responders who represent the community, and help a worthy cause. See you there!
