Consider the Cook
Are you looking for something special to accentuate your holiday table settings, or are you searching for a unique gift for a spouse, friend or family member who loves to be in the kitchen?

Welcome to Consider the Cook, a specialty kitchen and home store in New Canaan that features one-of-a-kind items for the home. Located on Elm Street in the heart of the town’s quaint and bustling downtown area, Consider the Cook has been a fixture in New Canaan since 2008.

Consider the Cook is dedicated to the art of entertaining with special consideration for the cook in the home. One look inside the store and you understand why. There are unique kitchen utensils, serving pieces, dinnerware, glassware and linens that you won’t see anywhere else.

Currently, the store is featuring Burleigh and Emma Bridgewater china settings from England.

You can also find home accents such as lamps, mirrors, clocks, sconces and antique tables. Visit the shop during the holiday seasons and you’ll find table accessories and holiday linens that will brighten your kitchen, dining room or living room. And make sure to visit before Christmas when holiday ornaments are a highlight.

Owned by Dina Clason, the New Canaan store is one of two in the tri-state area. There’s another location in New York in Bedford Village. Clason also has a store in Vero Beach, FL.

The New Canaan store is open seven days a week. Call 203.966.5055 for more information or visit www.considerthecook.com.
