Get your shopping started at the annual Holiday Stroll

data blogDecember 11, 2023

If you haven’t already, it’s time to get started on your holiday shopping and this weekend’s (Friday, December 1 and Saturday, December 2) 19th annual Holiday Stroll in New Canaan is the perfect place to do it.

Beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Elm Street will be closed to traffic so residents and visitors can easily move from store to store to find the perfect gift for everyone on their holiday list. While people shop, they will be entertained by singers and dancers, can eat at a number of food stands, or sit down for dinner at one of the many restaurants.

Children will be able to have fun too! Holiday characters will be greeting shoppers, there will be plenty of treats and snacks available, and Santa will be making the rounds for photos and selfies.

On Saturday, Elm Street will be open to vendors and shoppers from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Santa will be greeting children at the Houlihan Lawrence Real Estate office and shoppers are asked to bring non-perishable food items for the New Canaan Food Pantry, which provides meals to qualified families and individuals during the year.

The Holiday Stroll is sponsored by the New Canaan Chamber of Commerce.
