The professional advisors of Healthcare Pathfinder\, Anne McGuire and Victoria Bieler\, have developed a series to help people understand Medicare and avoid costly mistakes. \n“A lot of people may have heard of Medicare Part A\, B\, C\, D and Supplement Plans J\,F\, G and N\, but have no idea what they mean. Add in Medicare Advantage plans and the varying costs and it is even more confusing\, remarks Anne McGuire\, President and founder of Healthcare Pathfinder. We are advocates and advisors\, not sales people! Our goal is to demystify Medicare\, facilitate the enrollment process\, and create peace of mind.” \nThe three-part series meets once a month for 2 hours. SUMMARY:New Canaan Land Trust Annual Membership Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The New Canaan Land Trust invites its members and the community to its annual membership meeting on Tuesday\, November 15th at 6:30 pm. The Land Trust’s annual meeting offers residents the opportunity to learn more about the 55-year organization and meet like-minded members of the community. Comprised of almost 400 acres\, the conservation organization plays an important role in New Canaan in fulfilling its three-part mission of protecting open space\, caring for and restoring habitat on its properties\, and engaging the community. \nThe meeting will feature guest-speaker Sarah Finnie Robinson\, a New Canaan resident and the founding director of The 51 Percent Project\, a climate communication initiative based at Boston University Institute for Global Sustainability. Robinson holds faculty appointments at Boston University’s College of Communication and at the Graduate Program in Urban Biogeoscience & Environmental Health. Following a career in mainstream media (The New Yorker\, The Atlantic\, iVillage)\, in 2010 Robinson co-founded WeSpire\, a WIRED and Fast Company award-winning company that provides a behavior-change platform for corporations to engage employees in sustainability goals and related programs. In 2018\, Sarah founded The 51 Percent Project to identify best practices and principles of climate change communication\, which is a burgeoning field of behavioral science. In her talk\, Robinson will focus on climate change communications principals relevant to New Canaan residents\, as well as how the community and the Land Trust can address climate change. A Q & A session will follow the presentation.
