The program is part of October4design\, a month-long celebration of New Canaan’s architecture\, art\, design and community. The presentation is free. \nIn August 2014\, the owners of a four-acre parcel in northern New Canaan decided to build a modular home in the postmodern style. They hired Blu Homes\, a premium prefabrication company based in California. The sleek designs with open floor plans are energy efficient and made with sustainable materials. \nKeith will share his experience of clearing the steep\, heavily wooded land\, which had never been built on before\, preparing the building foundation\, accepting delivery of the Blu model\, and then finishing the landscaping once the house was sited. The challenging project took many months and required creativity and ingenuity.
