We look forward to your visit. \nGlass House 75th Anniversary Tour season opening April 15- December 15th. \nTour season opens with tours running Thursday – Monday. Choose from a variety of tours. Our most popular tour includes The Glass House\, Painting Gallery\, Sculpture Gallery\, outdoor sculpture\, and Da Monsta\, with a three-quarter mile walk over grass and paths. \nAvailable on Monday\, Thursday\, Friday and Saturday. This tour will include the newly restored interior of the Brick House beginning on May 2\, 2024. Sundays are self-guided tours days. Explore the Glass House campus at your own pace on days dedicated to self-guided visits to the site.  Educators will be available across the site to provide information and answer questions. SUMMARY:The Nutcracker: Hear the Story\, See a Performance\, Learn a Dance
DESCRIPTION:The New England Academy of Dance (NEAD) brings the holiday magic of The Nutcracker ballet to New Canaan Library\, showcasing dancers from NEAD as well as esteemed professionals from New York City. Under the direction of Frances Ortiz\, Ginna Ortiz\, and Ted Thomas\, NEAD will present an educational\, family-friendly performance of The Nutcracker. The demonstration will include a reading of The Nutcracker book by the Sugar Plum Fairy\, followed by a variation performance. Other characters from The Nutcracker will join and help with the interactive portion\, where children can learn a dance from the ballet. The demonstration is ideal for children ages five through ten\, but all are welcome.\nThe New England Academy of Dance (NEAD) is a pre-professional ballet academy focused on training aspiring young artists to achieve the highest standard of classical dance education. New England Dance Theater (NEDT) is the non-profit arm of the New England Academy of Dance (NEAD) who are a group of dedicated parents and local volunteers working together to create greater access\, awareness\, and appreciation of the performing arts through dance.

Starting with grounding breathwork\, Jane will guide you through movement that will ignite a little bit of heat and a lot of joy\, ending in a restful savasana.\nAbout Move with Grace Farms x lululemon\nMove with Grace Farms x lululemon is a series of monthly movement classes hosted in partnership with local lululemon ambassadors. These classes\, for all levels of experience\, focus on restoring and igniting the energy needed to live a more balanced life. To enhance the wellness experience\, each class includes a cup of tea from Grace Farms Tea & Coffee\, a Certified B Corp\, picked specifically to complement the movement.\nAbout Jane Krantz\nJane Krantz founded Afterglow Yoga Studio in 2020 with the intention to create a laid-back space for yoga and wellness. Since opening\, the studio has expanded twice with a wonderful\, ever-growing community of movers. Jane is certified in Vinyasa and Restorative Yoga\, and is currently training for her Katonah Yoga certification.\nBefore diving into yoga\, Jane spent her life studying and embodying movement through dance. She graduated from The Hartt School\, University of Hartford in 2015 with a BFA in Dance Performance\, spending the following years dancing professionally. Most notably\, she performed at the Museo Soumaya in Mexico City; Scotland’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival; and Comedy Central’s “Funny or Die” Tour. Jane currently teaches at her alma mater\, The Hartt School\, where she is a Professor of Jazz Dance and a Choreographer for Hartt’s mainstage productions.
