Most of the action takes place on a stage that has to be transformed to resemble the low-budget “off-off-off-off Broadway” stage called for in the script. \nThe stage\, which is said to have been created on a $35 budget\, is complete with uneven walls and defective props. Reception followed by a lecture by Arianne Kolb\, Ph.D “The Rediscovery and Restoration of Abastenia St. Leger Eberle’s Waveny Fountain.\nThis event will celebrate the restoration and re-installation of the Lotus Fountain in the formal gardens of Waveny Park. The lecture will examine the fountain of 1918 by the groundbreaking female sculptor Abastenia St. Leger Eberle within the context of her work and the patronage of Antoinette Lapham\, who together with her husband Lewis commissioned the Olmsted Brothers’ and William B. Tubby’s design of Waveny.\nArianne Kolb\, an art historian and curator\, is a board member of the Waveny Park Conservancy\, Co-Curator of Women of Waveny\, and author of Waveny: New Canaan’s Treasure.
