SUMMARY:“Anti-Asian Hate: History\, Context\, Recognition and Allyship” is Presented by Dr. Lok Siu Via New Canaan Library Videoconference
DESCRIPTION:That there has been a steep rise in anti-Asian hate crimes – both globally and nationally – has been recognized and documented by creditable media outlets across the political spectrum. New Canaan Library presents a live webinar on Thursday\, May 27 at 7 PM EST\, when Dr. Lok Siu\, University of California\, Berkley will address the many aspects of the topic. Zoom sign in information will be provided upon registration at newcanaanlibrary.org.\nHow do we make sense of the recent rise in anti-Asian sentiments and hate crimes? And why is there so much resistance to seeing this as a form of racism?
