Join us for an interactive sensory night hike adventure and try your hand at our naturalist-led challenges to find out! First\, we’ll put your night vision to the test to discover if you can see as well as an owl in the dark. Then we’ll focus on your sense of smell\, hearing\, and touch! We’ll wrap up the night with one of our favorite summer activities… roasting marshmallows around the campfire! \nProgram will also include the opportunity to meet a couple of the nature center’s nocturnal animal ambassadors up close and personal. \nRain or shine. \nOnline pre-registration by Thursday\, August 12th at 4pm is required. \nMembers: $10/person (Registration opens Monday\, July 12th)\nNon-Members: $15/person (Registration opens Monday\, July 19th)

SUMMARY:Meadow Butterfly Walk
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a guided walk with expert lepidopterist\, Victor DeMasi\, on Saturday\, August 21st at 10am. We’ll learn about the many different butterflies and pollinators that can be found in our region\, and ways to promote the habitats that are critical to their survival. \nThe walk will be held at the Livingston-Higley Preserve\, which is home to one of the Land Trust’s largest meadows. From monarchs to swallowtails\, the meadow provides the perfect location for observing and learning about butterflies. \nRegistration: Advanced registration is required and costs $5 per person.
