SUMMARY:Try Anyway Summer Camps – Creative Writing Week (Grades 1-7)
DESCRIPTION:Calling all creative kids in Grades 1-7!  Join award-winning filmmaker and comedy writer Claire Ayoub (Empire Waist\, The GynoKid) for a series of week-long summer camps in Creative Writing\, Screenwriting\, and Directing.   THIS WEEK’S FOCUS: CREATIVE WRITING A mini-version of Claire Ayoub’s 10-week creative writing workshop\, students will spark their imaginations through two writing challenges every session inspired by film\, art\, music\, and more! Kids will share their work at least twice per class\, building creative confidence.   Capped at 10 students per camp\, Claire’s programming is designed give students hands-on creative experience and develop tools to navigate perfectionism and self-doubt. When in doubt\, we Try Anyway!  Camps meet on Mondays-Fridays from July 13th-August 21st at the New Canaan Racquet Club (45 Grove St). SUMMARY:Nature Studio for Children
DESCRIPTION:Discover the tiny wonders of nature!  Using a digital scope and projector\, look at monarch and white cabbage moth caterpillars\, ladybugs\, wildflowers\, and other small creatures in incredible\, larger-than-life detail. Children will love spotting colors\, patterns\, and movements not visible to the naked eye.  With friendly guidance from our Education Team\, families will discover how these little creatures help keep the Grace Farms ecosystem healthy. This fun\, hands-on exploration of the natural world is the perfect activity before or after walking the surrounding gardens and trails. Recommended for ages 4 – 11 with adult caregivers.  This will be offered weekly on Tuesdays in July and August.
