Women’s History Month One Book / New Canaan

LiveGirl invites parents and daughters to celebrate Women’s History Month together.

LiveGirl and the New Canaan Library are hosting ONE BOOK / ONE TOWN and have selected The Only Woman in the Room, a powerful novel by bestselling author Marie Benedict about the incredible true story of Hedy Lamarr. LiveGirl Founder and CEO Sheri West explained, “With only 3% of US history textbooks relating to women, it’s necessary to supplement our daughter’s reading with books who tell the stories of the many accomplished women who helped shape our world.” Readers are encouraged to join a parent/daughter discussion led by mother/daughter duo Dawn and Phoebe Kurth and author, Marie Benedict, on Saturday, March 28th at the New Canaan Library.
