Sean Godsell “On Shade” Zoom Lecture

Back by popular demand from the 2018 MHDT+S, Australian architect Sean Godsell will speak “On Shade.” This presentation focuses on the importance of shade in architectural design as a means to improve building performance in hot climates, provide a calming effect, and evoke silence. Godsell has lectured and published multiple architectural journals both locally and internationally, and is the recipient of numerous awards for this architecture. In 2018, he received a Papal Silver Medal for his Vatican Chapel on the island of S Giorgio Maggiore in Venice for the Architectural Biennale.
