“Hearts of Freedom” – A Juneteenth Community Celebration
June 19 @ 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm
S.T.A.R’s 3rd annual Juneteenth Community Celebration is fast approaching and we cannot wait to see everyone!
This free-to-attend celebration will once again take place on the lawn at The New Canaan Museum & Historical Society at 13 Oenoke Ridge, New Canaan. We’ll start at 3pm and end at 7pm. There will be live music from local band, The Misfits, arts and crafts and more! Visit S.T.A.R’s website for more information.
Bring a picnic or buy delicious soul food from one of several local food trucks.
Walk ins are welcome, but we kindly ask that you register in advance so we have enough supplies. (Link is below.)
We are grateful to the sponsors (to-date) of this increasingly popular local event: The Glass House, Walter Stewarts Market, The New Canaan Museum & Historical Society, and Newcanaanite.com. We also thank the Rotary Club of New Canaan for their support.
Note: Due to construction, St.. Marks church. which is right next door, has graciously allowed Juneteenth attendees to park in their lot. New Canaan’s Service League of Boys (SLOBs) has generously volunteered to help direct traffic to the church parking lot.
Sponsorship opportunities are available for this increasingly popular celebration. Contact susanborst@susanborst.com.
