In addition to skills improvement and sports injury prevention for both professional and amateur athletes, the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning presents the potential to track and mitigate public health threats at sports venues. Additionally, Professor Hayduck will cover the differences between artificial intelligence and machine learning and discuss why the sports and entertainment field is a particularly interesting sector for artificial intelligence and machine learning.
Ted Hayduck is an Assistant Professor at NYU’s Preston Robert Tisch institute for Global Sport. He is a former consultant to Major League Baseball. His current research focuses on innovation and entrepreneurship, particularly in the context of business analytics. His work has been published in high quality academic journals including the International Entrepreneurship and
Management Journal, the Journal of International Trade and Economic Development, Organizational Dynamics, and the International Journal of Entrepreneurship and Small Business. He is also the co-editor of Statistical Modeling and Sports Business Analytics (Routledge, 2020).
