The Broadway Bound Theatre Festival (BBTF), in collaboration with the Town Players of New Canaan, is proud to unveil a compelling lineup of plays for its inaugural Connecticut season from August 8th to September 1st. From dramedies to dramas, the festival promises a rich tapestry of storytelling from talented playwrights, showcasing their exciting new works. 

Family Vacation - Dramedy

Playwright: Lily Ayotte
In this poignant dramedy, the death of Grandma Emily unravels long-suppressed family tensions, offering both comedic relief and dramatic confrontations. The play explores themes of grief, legacy, and reconciliation as family members grapple with their intertwined lives in the wake of their matriarch’s passing. This exploration promises laughter and heartfelt moments, capturing the complexities of familial bonds.

Flags - Drama

Playwright: Thomas Mullen
Set against the backdrop of the War in the Pacific, "Flags" delves into the disillusionment of a group of Marines after discovering the iconic Iwo Jima flag-raising was a staged event. The narrative juxtaposes their battlefield realities with the home front struggles of the women they left behind, weaving a compelling tale of patriotism and personal disillusionment.

Neil Doyle Must Die - Comedy

Playwright: Brian Mulhern

Pact with the Devil - Satire
