The Easter Bunny will be making several stops in New Canaan over the next two weekends.
The fun starts this Sunday (April 3) and continues on Thursday, Friday and Saturday (April 7-9) of the following week.
Here’s a summary of each event:
Sunday, April 3
Young Women’s League Easter Egg Hunt
This is the Young Women’s League of New Canaan’s 48th Easter Egg Hunt. It begins at 9 a.m. at Waveny Park with the Easter egg hunt beginning at 10:15 a.m.
Adults and children will be entertained by a disc jockey and there will be bounce houses, face painting, arts and crafts, a bake sale, and photo opportunities with the Easter bunny to keep the kids busy.
If there’s rain, the egg hunt will be moved to Saxe Middle School.
Thursday, April 7 through Saturday, April 9
Nature Center Great Egg Hunt & Spring Celebration
The Nature Center’s egg hunts are spread out over three days to accommodate as many children as possible. Kids can also enjoy an animal meet & greet and a self-guided spring scavenger hunt while they’re there. Just remember to BYOB (bring your own basket) so you can scoop up as many prizes and sweets as possible.
There are four egg hunts on Thursday. The sessions starting at 12:15 p.m., 1:15 p.m., and 2:15 p.m. still have slots available. The 3:15 p.m. session is sold out.
There are six egg hunts on Friday. The sessions at 9 a.m., 10 a.m., and 11 a.m. are sold out, as is the session at 2:45 p.m. The sessions at 12:45 p.m. and 1:45 p.m. still have openings.
All six egg hunts on Saturday are sold out.
The cost of each egg hunt is $10 for members of the Nature Center and $15 for non-members.
Saturday, April 9
Easter Bunny at Waveny House
Bring your children for a drive-by visit with the Easter Bunny in the portico area of Waveny House from 10:15 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Parents will drive through the courtyard to the front entrance where the Easter Bunny will greet everyone. People must stay in their vehicles but there will be bunny helpers distributing treats. No walk-up visits will be permitted.
