It must be Spring if we’re talking about fishing!
Get the poles out of storage, put new line on the reel, and register for the 32nd annual George Cogswell Memorial New Canaan Fishing Derby on Saturday, April 15 at Mill Pond.
Anglers age 15 and younger are eligible to register for the event, which is free. All participants must register before they can fish. Registration begins at Mill Pond at 8 a.m. or you can pre-register here. Fishing begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 11 a.m. Anglers age 11 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
Mill Pond will be stocked with more than 400 trout, including a handful of trophy fish. Prizes will be awarded for the first fish and the largest fish.
